Safety Rules are only safe if followed, so everyone is responsible for
following these safety rules and making sure that their buddy is also following these rules
 

The following rules are non-negotiable and must be followed In accordance with BSA policies during a Pack Family Camp.

 

  •  Children Must practice the Buddy System at all times while at camp
    Upon arrival at camp each child (not just scouts) will be paired up with
    a buddy to ensure no one gets lost
     
  •  Two deep Leadership must be used at all times with children
    There MUST be two adults with any children at all times
    Never will a child be alone with one adult
     
  •  No playing with, near, or around the fire ring
    This is pretty clear except Webelos are allowed to build the fire but
    then must stay away from the fire once built
     
  •  Everyone must practice the Leave No Trace outdoor code
    "Take only memories, leave only footprints"
    1. Plan ahead and Prepare
    2. Travel and Camp on durable surfaces
    3. Dispose of waste properly
    4. Leave what you find
    5. Minimize campfire impacts
    6. Respect Wildlife
    7. Be Considerate of other visitors
     
  •  No running around campsite - this includes around tents, dining area, and fire ring
    We don't want anyone to trip over something, there are plenty of areas that we camp at to run
    and running around the restricted areas are not one of them
     
  •  No playing in or around dining area
    There is a lot of dangerous and hot things in this area that children
    can get hurt on very easily
     
  •  No food in tents - we may camp where there are bears
    We will always separate our food from our sleeping area to keep
    the animals out of our sleeping areas
     
  •  Children carrying a knife must also be carrying there Whittling Chip card on them
     
  •  Quiet Time is between 10 pm and 7 am
     
  • Every adult has the right to stop any child from breaking one of these rules
     then report the incident to the Den Leader or Cub Master
    If you are not a leader and see an unsafe act stop it - Immediately!
